Position Overview Retail Sales Associate RSA PT Position

Chuck Latham Associates, a leading manufacturer representative specializing in pet products, is looking for a part time Retail Sales Associates in Simi Valley and surrounding areas of CA. The primary purpose of an RSA is to promote, and maintain our manufacturer’s products through service and store visits as well as provide excellent customer.

The individuals we seek are people who love pets, are outgoing, friendly, love to talk to customers, and can convey a products features and benefits to the public. If you are a pet lover, enjoy working with the public, and are looking a fantastic merchandising opportunity then this is perfect for you! Area Details: requires up to 30+ retail store visits per month around 30+ hours per month (visits need to be completed between 8-5 M-F)

Essential Functions & Position Qualifications Are:

~Retail Sales/merchandising experience – Pet Industry a Plus!
~Plan-o-Gram and product reset experience a plus!
~Excellent people skills
~Required to promote sales of represented products through in-store product knowledge
~Displays self confidence when speaking in public & has excellent communication skills
~Takes initiative, is self motivated ensuring timely completion of projects, events & monthly store objectives.
~Process vendor returns
~Conduct inventory audits
~Can develop and maintain excellent relationships with store personnel
~Flexible - Ability to work periodic evenings and weekends
~Have reliable transportation
~Have access to the internet and experienced with online reporting

Physical Demands of the Position:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Fast paced work environment – High volume high traffic retail locations
Able to lift up to 50lbs at times
Will be exposed to different types of animals

To be considered you must have clean MVR be able to pass a thorough background check.
