Title Chef/Kitchen Manager
Position Overview  
ATTN:  This position is located Lake Grove, midway out on Long Island (50 miles from JKF)
Currently interviewing for a highly qualified Exec Chef/Kitchen Manager. This candidate needs to have strong management skills and does not require a play book to get the job done. Creative culinary skills are necessary as 20% of the menu is Chef driven. We need some who understands how to manage food costs, consistently staying on budget and we need a true leader who knows how to inspire the staff by hands on example. This Chef needs the right skills in balance to be both a positive motivator and enforcer of proper kitchen procedures. Our kitchen uses local product/organic where possible and strives to deliver an exceptional dining experience for out guests. Our Chef must be on board with managing to make this the norm. This is a fun restaurant to work in and just needs the right leader in the back of the house to help turn things around which will in turn help drive sales. Our next Chef is someone with a hospitality personality who doesn't mind coming in and developing some missing systems and procedures and making it their own. This is an excellent company to work for benefits are provided and there are growth plans for a new unit next year. Ideally a candidate with a very stable work history is what we seek-someone who can make a commitment to our concept.
