| Position Overview |
Our client is expanding their production operations to accommodate increased demand for their products. They are a low volume, high complexity manufacturer focused on mechanical assembly. |
| Responsibilities |
Working for the Production Manager you will be the lead hand and will be responsible for juggling many responsibilities and assisting/directing/training all of the technicians at the work stations and cells in the production line. |
| Requirements |
Education: a diploma focused on mechanics or electro-mechanics would be very desirable.
3-5 years’ work experience as a Lead Technician in a low volume, high complexity manufacturer focused on mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly/engineering design builds.
Experience with the following is required:
• Trouble Shooting production problems and defects
• Problem solver, defect resolution, contribute to work instructions
• Training and directing production staff @ 14 work stations on one production line and 2 customization cells
• Inspection/audit experience is an asset
• Experience dealing with a variety of external trades people
Must be well organized, methodical, detail oriented and focused on quality
Must be comfortable juggling multiple concurrent tasks and working in a fast paced dynamic team environment.
Must have basic computer skills – ERP/MRP and any engineering software experience would be an asset.
Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
OTHER INFORMATION:
Candidates must have Canadian Citizenship or Canadian Permanent Residency status.
No relocation is available and only local residents will be considered at this time.
This is a full-time employee position, Contractors will not be considered.
