Title Senior Treasury Analyst
Position Overview The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for ensuring the company’s liquidity requirements are met on a daily basis; completion of all bank related documentation; administration of the online banking systems and online approval of all tax related payments. This position is also responsible for all transactions related to the syndicated credit facility including drawdowns, repayments, breakdown of BAs vs. straight borrowings, review and payment of interest and all related accrual and journal entries. The Senior Treasury Analyst will provide backup to the Treasury Manager as well as the Treasury Analyst. In addition, this position will play a crucial role in the implementation of the future Treasury workstation.
Key Responsibilities  
Treasury Function:
·         Daily cash monitoring of bank accounts to ensure adequate liquidity is available
·         Backup for daily reporting on bank activity
·         Initiation of wire transfers and intercompany settlements as required
·         Analysis of bank fees
·         Management of bank account documentation including updating of signatories and addition/closure of bank accounts as required
·         Development of a bank account tracking system
·         Make recommendations re: borrowing requirements and/or short term investing of excess cash
·         Preparation of documentation required to facilitate drawdown/repayment under Credit Facility
·         Analysis of SG&A expenses for month, coordination with divisions for the pulling of funds and completion of journal entries to record transactions
·         Approval of Revenue Canada on-line payments and administrator for online tax payment access
·         Administrator for online bank account access
·         Preparation of monthly cash interest paid report
·         Backup on preparation of 5/6 week consolidated cash forecast
·         Backup on confirmation of foreign exchange spot purchases, swaps and hedges
·         Preparation of monthly journal entries
·         Backup for mark-to-market month end reporting for foreign exchange hedges with divisions
·         Ad-hoc reporting as required
·         Assist in the development and tracking/ reporting of key performance metrics on a monthly basis
·         Backup for Treasury Analyst
·         Review and recommend improvements to treasury processes and procedures including opportunities to automate cash processes, streamline reporting and enhance banking processes
·         Other duties as assigned
 
Finance Function:
·         Secondary contact for year-end banking and debt audit requirements, co-ordination of bank confirmations for both restricted and non-restricted accounts and debt audit confirmations
·         Additional participation in internal/external audits as needed
·         Responsible for debenture accounting and reporting
·         Ad-hoc and special projects
Required Knowledge & Skills • Seasoned treasury professional with a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably with a CTP designation
• CGA/CMA/CA preferred
• Excellent analytical/financial skills
• Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability for accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with various levels of management
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Exposure to treasury workstations and ERP systems a plus
• Strong Excel and Word skills
