Title Quality Coordinator
Position Overview Reporting directly to the Project Quality Manager, the Project Quality Control Coordination provides quality coordination and clerical assistance to the Quality Manager and Quality Inspectors on quality items.  
Key Responsibilities • Maintain quality documentation according to established manuals, programs and procedures.
• Maintain and update QC files and drawings with the new revisions as they come from Document Control.
• IFC Drawings – publication, distribution and revision control of IFC drawings, quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, weld procedures and Code related documents.
• Add RFI’s to drawings as the project progresses. Ensure all inspectors are aware of any new information.
• Maintain Piping Isometric Control Numbers.
• Update ICMS with Daily Welding Reports information on daily basis.
• Update piping isometric with daily weld information (Weld Mapping).
• Update piping AS-Built drawing on daily basis.
• Coordinate the project site NDE with QC inspectors, NDE requests with NDE company and Construction Supervisors.
• Update ICMS with NDE reports information on daily basis.
• Monitor and Maintain NDE percentage as per client requirements.
• Monitor and control Weld Repair and Tracers.
• Perform NDE clearance for Hydro Testing and Backfill Releases.
• Co-ordinate inspection scheduling (company, client inspectors and third party) to ensure all operations is satisfactorily completed.
• Monitor and Control Welder Qualification Records.
• Assist in new welder orientation and assign Welder Symbol.
• Generate AB 83’s.
• Assist, track the Quality Orientation Program, training, orientation as well as scheduling new training.
• Organize and maintain QC files and logs, Calibration, DSR, DAR, etc.
• Assist with tracking manpower hours from timesheets to Manpower tracking Spreadsheets.
• Coordinate, develop and maintain QC Records and Reports using proprietary software as well as Microsoft office.
• Assist, set up and conduct internal projects required audits, assist with an internal audit schedule, audit reports, tracking of audit findings, signing or closing of audits and their findings, filling and retrieval for future review.
• Assist with project audits, set up, notification agenda, reporting documentation, sending audit reports to key people, closing audits.
• Administering Continuous Improvement systems example; lesson learn log, NCR log, CAR log and PAR log. Set up, track and drive the closing of action items on logs.
• Assist with the coordination of quality management information. Assist in gathering information to create a presentation or report.
• Develop and assist with gathering information into spreadsheets and graphs for a presentation or report for management or clients.
• Assist with all other departments on the development of their processes and work instruction. Coordinate that all procedures / work instructions are created the same way / format. Establish correct numbering system, sign offs and title pages.
• Assist with the development of process flow charts and process flow lanes, be able to take a process or work instruction and create process flow chart or process flow lanes.
• Develop, create and assist with Organization Charts.
• Administrative duties including but not limited to: taking meeting minutes, travel arrangements, booking meeting rooms, scanning, filing and copying documents.
Required Knowledge & Skills • Above average computer skills utilizing MS office application.
• Profound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Access, Power Point.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in an administrative or coordination role in the quality field.
• Construction industry knowledge and experience would be considered an asset.
• Technical Education in the field of Mechanical would be an asset (WET, MET CET, ect.).
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Great customer service focus.
• Ability to liaise and form positive relationship with all levels of employees and management.
• Understand process formatting and manual formatting, example ISO formatting process.
• ISO knowledge is beneficial.
• Knowledge with procedure writing and formatting with flow charts and or flow lines.
• Internal auditing course and or experience.
