As a Scheduler on this project, all you need to have is a strong working grasp of Primavera P6 - we'll teach you the rest! Under the general supervision of the Project Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Project Master Schedule and various other schedules for the construction project.
|Assuming responsibility for preparation, quality and accuracy of project schedules Liaising with the customer, engineer, subcontractors and internal staff on a daily basis Preparation of the Project Master Schedule and various schedules for the project Assume responsibility for the accuracy of the construction schedule, ensures primavera ties are built into the schedule using best industry practices Monitor, review and analyze the schedule and status of construction during all phases of the project including the analysis of any schedule deviations and corrective actions Preparation of progress reports and other various reports required by the client and engineer
Liaise with Cost Control and Document Control as required
Perform such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor/manager Develop and write reports, business correspondence Present the final product before managers, clients Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
|Required Knowledge & Skills
- A minimum of 10 years experience in project planning/scheduling
- Experience in the Mining sector would be considered an asset
- Must have scheduling/planning experience within multi-trade industrial projects environment
- Proficient in Primavera Project Planner (version 6/7 proficiency is preferred) Must have working experience with Primavera
- An engineering degree or other technical designation or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience on large-scale Engineering and/or Construction projects
- Ability to schedule and track multiple projects from concept to completion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Liaison with engineers, project managers, and all levels of the organization
