Title Licensed Surveyor
Position Overview Aecon is currently seeking a Licensed Project Surveyor to join a project in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The Surveyor will be responsible for coordinating and laying out various aspects of the construction project with a high level of accuracy, ensuring the design criteria is adhered to and well documented.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and verify provided control network
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of survey requirements to facilitate construction activities
  • Maintain accurate survey records, documentation and stamped submittals
  • Provide layout at various stages of construction
  • Provide layout for tunnel construction
  • Organize and manage survey operations and personnel
  • Provide clear communication with client in a professional manner
  • Manage As Built information and digital records
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Post-secondary education in Surveying or Geomatics
  • Qualified and Licensed Ontario Land Surveyor
  • Knowledge of survey practices, standards and laws
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Construction
  • Minimum 1 year of tunnel construction experience
  • Microstation experience would be an asset
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of office, data, surveying and engineering based software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
