Business Unit Overview
The joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Aecon has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to carry out the Darlington Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) project. The project involves refurbishment of all four reactors at the Darlington Generating Station and consists of two phases – a Definition Phase and an Execution Phase. The Definition Phase includes the construction of a full-scale reactor mock-up to simulate key elements of the refurbishment work, and the development, procurement and testing of specialized tooling required for the project. The Execution Phase involves refurbishment of the reactor cores using the tools and methods that were developed and tested during the Definition Phase.

Title Client Interface Manager
Position Overview The Client Interface Manager is generally responsible for liaising between the SLN-Aecon Joint Venture and the client, OPG. This role will interface with the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure that all correspondence, documents, and information submitted to the client is received and understood in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strong working relationships with all members of the client team
  • Attend client meetings and report findings/actions to the JV project team
  • Assist in resolving outstanding technical and commercial issues
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the client, as required
  • Support the Project Management team as required
  • Act as single point of contact with the client for any contemplated scope additions
  • Assist in the preparation of proposal documents for scope changes
  • Follow up with the project team upon identification of any project risk
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Business Development/Project Management and relationship building skills
  • Relevant Nuclear industry experience is required (P.Eng. or CET an asset)
  • Negotiating skills
  • Well organized and able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and take discretionary initiative
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • General computer proficiency, especially PowerPoint
  • Commercial knowledge and contract management experience
