| Division/Portfolio Overview |
The Bioresource Technologies Portfolio is a dynamic group working in areas of applied research and development of engineered composite panels related to both products and processes, with special focus in wood strand based composites. |
| Position Overview |
The Senior Technologist will be responsible for conducting routine tests and non-destructive test on composite products. The incumbent will assist with the designing, building, debugging and operating of complex laboratory experiments for the evaluation of product properties. Gathered data needs to be analyzed and communicated in an industry acceptable report which includes tables, charts and graphs and discussions. |
| Requirements |
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in wood processing, as well as a minimum of 7 years related work experience, equivalences may be considered. Candidates must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills as well as the ability to write technical reports for clients. Ability to problem solve and think creatively is an asset. The successful candidate will have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while working in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. The candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. |

This position is included in the bargaining unit.
