The Curriculum Quality Analyst plays an important role within the Centre of Academic Quality in ensuring academic programs of study adhere to sound curricular structure and quality. The incumbent will support faculty members and Chairs as they undergo comprehensive program review, ensuring that appropriate processes, procedures and tools are used. Program and curriculum mapping will be a primary responsibility of this role. In building capacity around crucial quality issues to ensure Ministry and institutional goals and outcomes are met, the incumbent will develop and facilitate both group and individual sessions as well as provide guidance and assistance on demand. The development and support of tools and documents related to maintaining quality curriculum will also fall within the scope of this role. 
Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring timeliness of quality assurance processes, set time lines to guide program reviewers
  • Centralize and ensure effective communication of and access to important information, documentation and tools related to comprehensive program review and program quality
  • Guide and advise review leads, teams and Chairs during comprehensive review process
  • Analyze and review program quality review process for continuous improvement
  • Facilitate program mapping sessions with faculty
  • Use electronic mapping tools to convert program design to program map; manage program mapping matrices
  • Analyze program maps and provide recommendations to ensure programs/courses meet ministerial expectations
  • Analyze course outlines for structure, alignment, currency and completeness according to College and Ministry standards
  • Provide assistance with course design/review and development of course outlines
  • Provide training on and administrate course outline builder tool; maintain course outline database
  • Research trends in adult education, quality assurance practices, program design
  • Develop curriculum quality and development resources
  • Work closely with Curriculum Developer and program development teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education
  • Specialized training or education in curriculum development/instructional design or program planning
  • 3 Years related, practical experience in teaching, facilitation and classroom practice, preferably at the postsecondary level and in curriculum development or program planning
  • Demonstrated experience with quality assurance and program evaluation practices
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills useful in providing one-on-one support and imparting processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, assessment and outcomes-based education
  • Knowledge of program mapping, development of programs at the postsecondary level and Ministry frameworks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and basic Access skills are required
  • Experience in use of WIDS is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate projects, ensuring timelines are met
  • Organizational and administrative skills, and ability to multitask
  • Research, analysis and report writing abilities
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills in a variety of formats and effective interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision to achieve departmental objectives and to customize service delivery
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity and inclusion to meet the diverse needs of our students, staff and community

Salary Range $31.56 to $36.58 per hour (Payband I)
