||Rehab Aide I or II - Per Diem, Andover, MA

||The Rehab Aide II is responsible to assist the OT/PT in patient treatment (including pediatric, adult and geriatric clients) as directed by the therapist and to assist in overall departmental operations by performing clerical and housekeeping as assigned by the supervisor. Rehab Aide II will provide inservice education to therapy staff on therapeutic exercise, risk factors reduction and lifestyle modification. Assists with development and maintains detailed quality control programs, and safety procedures for the clinic that meet approval of the medical directors, JCAHO and satisfy federal, state and hospital standards. The Rehab Aide II will demonstrate dependability in all areas and will perform duties as assigned by the OT/COTA and/or PT/PTA. Rehab Aides will also be responsible for supervising patients in group settings.
The above statement reflects the general duties considered
||1.Bachelors of Science Degree in health related field or 5 years experience as a Rehab Aide I with proven abilities to monitor patient exercise programs, conduct group sessions and knowledge and understanding of exercise equipment.
3.Current Nursing Assistant certificate is desired.
4.Good general health and emotional stability.
5.Ability to bend, lift or assist with transfers and ambulation.
6.Adequate physical strength to assist with resistive activities.
7.Some hospital attendant experience is desirable.
8.On the job training in use of equipment and in departmental methods and procedures.
9.Dependable, conscientiousness and sincere interest.
10.Ability to relate well to others and work with patients of all ages.
||The physical demands of the job are as follows:
1.Frequent pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount.
2.Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, feeling, talking and seeing.
